Testing the Eco-Spin yourself is a simple process.
To observe fuel savings quickly on short distance runs it is important to ensure that identical test parameters are observed. This is a requirement for testing with as well as without the Eco-Spin. In order to ensure a uniform test environment, all outside factors must be eliminated. These factors include traffic, speed, load weight, and all other factors that may have an effect on the vehicle. This can be achieved in several ways:
Test Option #1
Select a test track (a parking lot, for example) where you can run circles with your truck for half an hour at a constant speed. You can perform the test with or without a load so long as the weight and aerodynamics of the vehicle remain the same throughout the test.
In preparation of the tests you will have to mount an external tank on your truck which can hold a few gallons of fuel (could be a plastic canister, portable fuel tank etc.) and that you can seal, mount and dismount for weighing.
Connect the fuel lines properly and make sure you can seal the test tank.
Fill the tank with enough fuel to last for at least 30 minutes of testing.
Weigh the entire tank exactly, mount it and go.
After 30 minutes of driving dismount the tank and weigh it again. Note down the difference in weight.
Now do the same after installing the Eco-Spin device and marvel at the results.
Note that remaining fuel in the fuel lines must be added back to the external tank without loss to ensure test accuracy.
Test Option #2
If you have access to a dynamometer you can run your truck on the device for testing with similar results to that of the test mentioned above. It is recommended that you still use an external tank for this test and ensure that all remaining fuel present in the fuel lines at the end of the test is added back to the tank before weighing.
